iPass partners with Mikenopa to add key Wi-Fi hotspots to the iPass mobile network in Central and Eastern Europe
LONDON — August 10, 2011 — iPass Inc. (NASDAQ: IPAS), a leading provider of mobility services for both enterprises and service providers, today announced that it has expanded the iPass Mobile Network in Central and Eastern Europe including Russia with Mikenopa a.s., a specialised service provider of top-class technologies for hotels and business centres.
“At Mikenopa our mission is to provide five-star service to hotels so they can benefit from additional income or significant operational savings,” said Miroslav Hanus, Mikenopa Managing Director. “Our relationship with iPass strengthens our offering by bringing iPass users to world-class hotels and also provides users seamless access to their critical business and cloud applications.”
“Business travellers expect the same standard of service from a hotel concierge as they do from their hotel Wi-Fi service,” said Marcio Avillez, vice president of Network Services at iPass. “With our Mikenopa relationship, iPass users can connect seamlessly at some great hotels in Central and Eastern Europe such as the Hilton Leningradskaya Moscow and the Park Inn Danube Bratislava.”
With the iPass Open Mobile platform, a cloud-based services delivery system, enterprises can enable their mobile workers to seamlessly connect to the iPass Mobile Network—the world’s largest authenticated Wi-Fi network—while ensuring they have complete visibility and control of network usage, security and costs.
Among the currently available hotels are the following: the Holiday Inn Moscow Suschevsky, the Holiday Inn Moscow Lesnaya and the Radisson Royal Hotel in Moscow; the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague, the Corinthia Towers Hotel Prague; the Hotel Pentelikon, Saint George Lycabettus and the Titania Hotel in Athens. Over the coming months the partnership will include further luxury hotels in this region.
