Partnership brings global mobile connectivity to affluent cardholders, an unprecedented offering in the Latin American market
REDWOOD SHORES, California, 4 August 2016 — iPass Inc. (NASDAQ: IPAS), the leading provider of global mobile connectivity, and Elo, the first 100% Brazilian credit card brand to be accepted out of the country, have announced a partnership to provide Elo affluent international cardholders with free access to nearly 50 million Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide.
The addition of global Wi-Fi access to Elo’s premium benefits program is the first offering of its kind in the Latin American credit card market. Recently, Elo announced the international acceptance of its premium credit cards, Elo Mais, Elo Grafite and Elo Nanquim, and the Wi-Fi benefit is part of the company’s strategy for high-spend consumers. Those affluent cardholders will now benefit from simple, secure, always-on Wi-Fi in more than 120 countries, at airports, hotels, train stations, convention centers, outdoor venues, inflight, and more.
Available immediately, the iPass offering for Elo premium cards is set to reach high-value cardholders.
