iPass Launches Unlimited Global Wi-Fi

iPass Unlimited Offers Access to 18 Million Wi-Fi Hotspots and Gogo(R) In-Flight for Flat Monthly Price

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Apr. 21, 2015: iPass Inc. (NASDAQ: IPAS), the world’s largest commercial Wi-Fi network, today announced the launch of iPass Unlimited, a new service plan offering users truly unlimited data, time and device usage. From a starting monthly price of $25 per user, iPass customers can enjoy unlimited and hassle-free access to more than 18 million Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide; including airports, hotels, restaurants and other public areas. With iPass Unlimited, users will also have access to Gogo

iPass Unlimited utilizes a Software-as-a-Service delivery model, with Wi-Fi provisioned as a service from the cloud. Businesses will be able to benefit from single-click activation, easy to follow pricing and web order forms to ensure users can immediately enjoy the benefits of iPass. Through a single log-in, users can obtain automatic and unlimited access to cost-effective and secure global Wi-Fi via smartphones, tablets and laptops.

"We live in a connected world, yet cellular roaming can be painfully slow and costly, and despite millions of Wi-Fi hotspots, connecting to them often isn’t easy. With iPass Unlimited we are unlocking the true potential of Wi-Fi everywhere, making it simple and unlimited," said Gary Griffiths, President & CEO of iPass. "iPass Unlimited removes the need to worry about time or data constraints, allowing users to enjoy unlimited usage across multiple devices without the meter running."

Griffiths continued, "We continue to significantly increase the size of the addressable market for iPass, and believe our growing base of small and medium-sized enterprise customers will benefit from iPass Unlimited’s cost-effective alternative to international data roaming fees."

"The launch of iPass Unlimited makes our offering as simple as possible to enjoy and marks an important step in our company’s transformation to a cloud-based business. We are confident iPass Unlimited will provide significant value to our customers and drive strong returns for our stockholders."

Based on third-party analysis, researchers estimate there will be more than 340 million global Wi-Fi hotspots by 2018 (Maravedis Rethink). This strong demand has been recognised by HP and Microsoft, who previously announced partnerships with iPass to bring global Wi-Fi connectivity to selected products and services.
