Your smartphone is next to the bed and many of you mobile workers check it during the night. Or, you are checking your email and social networks first thing in the morning. We know you do. Over 3,000 of you told us. How do you compare to other mobile workers?

  • 91 percent of mobile workers use personal downtime to check their smartphones.
  • Nearly 30 percent of mobile workers check their smartphone every six-to-12 minutes during downtime.
  • 61 percent of mobile workers sleep with their smartphone; 43 percent within arm’s reach.
  • 38 percent of mobile workers wake up to check their smartphone during the night
  • 35 percent check email first thing in the morning – even before getting dressed or eating breakfast.
  • 41 percent of mobile workers have a tablet and an additional 34 percent of mobile workers intend to purchase a tablet in the next six months.
