

The survey found that the majority of mobile employees are unaware of how much mobile connectivity costs their employers. Only 36 percent reported that they knew how much their own mobile connectivity costs were:

In the survey, 41 percent of mobile enterprise workers had received a surprise mobility charge, and for nine percent it was more than $500:

The study also showed that if employees do know their connectivity costs, their choice of a smartphone over a laptop increased from 59% to 72%:

Mobile enterprise workers who were aware of their mobility costs reported receiving surprise charges 56 percent of the time, as compared to 32 percent of those who did not know their mobility costs:
