Fulfilling The Promise of Mobile Data

Mobile data offers great promise and benefits, but it also presents plenty of headaches. Even the most advanced IT department is challenged to find an integrated solution that is simple for users, secure for the enterprise and still allows IT to manage it effectively. Listen as Gartner Research Director Michael King examines the challenges end users face with mobile data and the ways to overcome them.

Michael King is a research director at Gartner Dataquest, where he is part of the Enterprise Network Services group. He is responsible for covering wireless data and applications in the United States and Canada. Mr. King also covers wireless applications, deployment, carrier services, data devices and security. Prior to joining Gartner in October 2000, Mr. King worked at Neopoint where he was a research lead/marketing manager responsible for market research in the wireless and data services areas as well as Neopoint's interactive marketing programs. Before Neopoint, Mr. King spent four years as a research analyst for META Group's Global Networking Strategies practice, covering wireless and wireline, services and hardware.
