Friday, January 14th, 2011

This week was certainly busy with iPhone/Verizon announcements. Will AT&T customers bolt for Verizon? Will Android lose market-share as fast as it grabbed it? Will laptops disappear? What about the 3G that I’m paying for with my iPad?

Here’s a round-up of some of this week’s news:

First, yes, iPhone is available on Verizon:

For fans that have waited until the iPhone is on Verizon, you need to get started quickly with your app collection: “15 Best iPhone Apps for Newbies”

For those of you telling yourselves that you shouldn’t get one, there’s the article: “Four reasons to not get the Verizon iPhone”

And another reminder to those of us who travel occasionally, and “oops!” I have a Verizon phone, “Here’s where the Verizon iPhone falls short”

A summary of some of the “is the new iPhone good for Enterprise” discussions are in ITWorld’s article“Verizon iPhone’s Muted Enterprise Reaction”

And from Lynette Luna, “Is the Verizon iPhone attractive to enterprise users?”
