Tell us your Mobile Workforce habits – new survey

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

Are you a mobile worker? Then take our Mobile Workforce survey and tell us how you push the boundaries (or not). Before I forget, you have a chance to win an iPad 2 (allowing you to answer more of the questions).

For our Q2 survey, we are asking more questions about social etiquette, tablets and smartphones, such as:

  • where does your phone and/or tablet sleep at night?
  • does it become a source of tension in social situations?
  • where do you get all those business apps?
  • what business apps are you using?
  • when do you first check email in the morning?
  • do you tether?

However, we also ask questions about business travel, mobile payments, your own mobility and Wi-Fi in hotels. If you work remotely, from a mobile device, telecommute or travel, we want to hear from you! We will share the report in May. You can also sign up to request the report to be one of the first to get it.

And for the record, I keep my (personal) iPad very close, but not too close, so that I can check email first thing in the morning (but not during the night). I don’t text while at dinner with friends unless I’m sure that they can’t tell. I install my own business apps. My company does not allow my smartphone to tether. I prefer my iPad for email and video viewing, but admit to preferring my laptop for note-taking as I can type more quickly and accurately (I disLIKE AutoCorrect).

I don’t choose a hotel based on whether there is Wi-Fi (although I’m always irritated when it’s not there), and will not admit publicly to any of the answers in number 10.

Now its your turn to take the survey.
