Smartphones, blogs and apps for Moms
Sunday, May 8th, 2011 Karen Ambrose Hickey, EditorI started to think about apps for Moms, but then realized that I might be stereotyping and putting in things for family, cooking, etc. So instead, I dug into our upcoming Mobile Workforce Report, in terms of business apps that women ARE using, along with other trends:
- Women are no less manic than men in checking smartphones during downtime.
- There are just as likely as men to check email first thing in the morning, but if not then, they will wait until getting to their office
- Women use the same top 5 apps on their smartphone as men, but in different order. I would bet this relates to job roles. Women use Office Suites and Social Media (for work), more than men using Contract/Contact Management
- Women are more likely to keep their tablet use to personal use, if they purchased it themselves
- Tend to follow the social ettiquette more in smartphone use
