Headphones for any mobile worker need at CES 2012

Thursday, January 12th, 2012

Our CEO was at CES and when I asked what was a highlight, I got: “Headphones, headphones, headphones. Five years ago who knew we would all have multiple sets of headphones?”

I started thinking about how many pairs I have for various tasks – phone, workouts, listening to music/videos, and I’m not even an audiophile. Perhaps there’s a different headphone that’s ideal for each “screen” that you own? As your devices increase, so does your need for audio. Here’s some of what I found, with mobile workers in mind:

Various vendors had headphones that were not only great at noise-cancelling, but also in sound quality. One in-ear version from Paradigm, included a mic for mobile devices.

Three other vendors with a variety of products – great sound quality, earth-friendly, and great sound for great workouts (don’t fall out!).

And of course, the “celebrity” models were there:

And for mobile workers that find the mobile lifestyle impacting their health, these headphones have some fitness features as well: Iqua Beat stereo Bluetooth fitness headset to premiere at CES 2012

Hi Ken, thanks for your comment. I appreciated that he gave me a quick opinion while passing through for his meetings, as he didn’t have time to stop. I think for some people, it’s a great opportunity to save money as many vendors travel to a central location. I hope you reconsider using iPass. Best regards.

Wow, a company focused on Enterprise Mobility sending their CEO to CES. Can you say boondoggle? This post on headphones totally makes me want to use the iPass service more…. Not! Why isn’t the CEO out selling? He hasn’t earned the right to boondoggle.
