Gartner advising CEOs to bring iPads into the enterprise

According to a post on ReadWriteEnterprise, by Klint Finley,
4 Reasons Enterprise IT Should Support the iPad, Gartner has issued a CEO advisory encouraging them to “seize the iPad opportunity now.”
In talking with some IT admins, I have heard them say that an executive, usually the CEO, is the first to want support on an iPad.
Gartner cites many reasons on why the iPad is more than a consumer gadget and is a less-intrusive, productivity tool.
- The iPad is less intrusive and encourages more information-sharing
- Many employees are willing to pay for it, lessening corporate liability for costs and ensuring better adoption
- The iPad is great for reading those long PDFs and Powerpoint presentations without wasting a ream of paper
