Free Wi-Fi and free fun at these destination airports
Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 Karen Ambrose Hickey, EditorAs part of our iPass OpenAccess announcement last month, we added some new locations at destination airports and locations that make business a little more fun. This week’s Mobile Worker Wednesday will give you some ideas if you are at one of these destinations.
One addition is McCarran International Airport, the 21st busiest in the world, but the 8th busiest in terms of landings/takeoffs (all those private jets!). Less than a mile from the famous Las Vegas strip, you get the sounds of slot machines and animated images of the multitude of shows, along with free Wi-Fi that is now safe and worry free, allowing you to catch up on email and other work while waiting for your flight. More international airlines are making non-stop flights to Las Vegas, increasing the international tourist percentage. Only 12% of the airport’s traffic is from locals, making the airport a key element in the tourist industry.
Because the fun doesn’t have to stay Vegas, I will continue on with the list of other destinations and upcoming events that you might catch. And when you are done, don’t forget to log into the free Wi-Fi while at the airport or other iPass hotspot and share your photos and fun with family and friends:
