FCC pass a data roaming bill

The FCC today passed a data roaming bill today. Europeans have been dealing with this issue for years.

Regulators are seeking to address bill shock issues and in some cases operators are getting ahead and being aggressive on tariff changes. With the massive proliferation in smartphone and tablet use, anything that removes inhibitors to growth has to be a good thing for users and for the industry.

I guess we’ll find out how elastic this is and what the pricing tipping points are.
