iPhone OS v4 makes good for the Enterprise

iPhone OS V4The Apple juggernaut just keeps rolling on. Details of the much anticipated iPhone OS 4 were released today. I don’t think they disappointed – Multitasking was there along with a ton of other features. Good news for IT teams. These devices are making their way into the enterprise with a ton of enterprise features, including: Mobile Device Management, SSLVPN support, Exchange Server 2010 support and a new iPhone SDK 4 with a ton of APIs (1500, in fact).

As the OS upgrade makes it’s way onto the iPhone and onto the iPad later this year, these devices become much more serious contenders in the enterprise as ‘employee liable’ and ‘mixed use’ models take hold.
