Demo of the Hotspot Finder 2.0

Yesterday, we announced our new iPass Hotspot Finder 2.0. Why is it called “2.0″? Like the idea of Web 2.0, this tool for both laptops and smartphones, provides access to user-generated content – ratings and reviews of hotspots. Below is a short demo on the laptop version, and the smartphone tool handles the same way, but leverages geotracking.
Anyone can use this tool to navigate our more than 150,000 Wi-Fi hotspots in 99 countries. Other highlights:
- Ratings and reviews – insight into the quality of Wi-Fi connections and venues with user-generated ratings and reviews.
- Trip planning – after identifying hotspots near your destination, save, manage and retrieves them through My Trips.
- Favorites – stores and organizes favorite hotspots.
- Geotracking – leverages smartphone geotracking coordinates to deliver nearby hotspot data.
- At-a-glance venue information – includes venue type, and location.
