Enterprise mobility is now easier in Ireland

Back in September last year, we announced a roaming partnership with Ireland’s largest telecommunications supplier, eircom, to expand our network around Ireland’s major cities including Dublin, Cork and Limerick to meet the growing demand for better enterprise mobility.
Eircom is now part of the iPass global network, giving iPass users Wi-Fi access at over 800 new venues across Ireland. Important for business travelers, the eircom network includes access at Dublin airport (DUB), now Europe’s eighth largest airport for international traffic, with more than 23.2 million passengers in 2008, bringing our top 100 airport count to 88. Other key venues include 4 regional airports, over 120 hotels, nearly 300 restaurants including 75 McDonald’s and many Caffé Nero coffeehouses. We’ve added nearly 200 new locations in Dublin, 40 in Cork and 30 in Limerick, plus hundreds more in cities and towns from Athlone to Wicklow.
These eircom venues will add greater connectivity options to the existing 300 or so locations already available in Ireland through our partnerships with BT Openzone, iBhan and The Cloud.
For a list of “must-see” activities and sights when you are next in Ireland, including the week-long St. Patrick’s Festival, see our Mobility Story.
So, next time you need to quickly connect while in Ireland, you will now find more locations through the iPass network.
