Android Reviewers: come out, come out wherever you are

AndroidAs we stated last month, the iPass ‘Open Mobile Android’ client is now available. It enables iPass mobile workers (with an Android-based phone) the ability to off-load their data usage from 3G onto faster Wi-Fi networks. Given the price of international roaming and the oncoming capping of data usage with mobile, Open Mobile for Android is a useful tool to remain productive and importantly connected.

iPass for Android clientWhat’s important for our customers is simplicity of deployment, and for iPass users, that it’s easy to use when they want seamless connectivity. Whether it’s the iPass network (remember we’ve got over 150,000 Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide and it’s growing), work campus networks, or free and paid Wi-Fi networks, mobile workers don’t want to deal with entering time-consuming details, deal with VPN issues or worry about security issues – they just want a connection.

So to celebrate the availability of Open Mobile for Android we’ve been reaching out to analysts and reporters to try it out and we’ve got a handful of people signed up. If you fall into that bucket of analyst, blogger or reporter, send us an email (using PR-at-ipass.com), message us on Twitter, or comment here, and we’ll see if we can get you hooked up with our service for a 30-day trial.
