All I need for coffee is a phone

Hungry? Need a caffeine fix? All you need is your phone.

In our newest Mobile Workforce Survey, we are asking if mobile workers would use mobile payments. I’m seeing more articles like this, from Business Insider, 14 Ways NFC Will Let Your Phone Replace Your Wallet.

However, I realized that I already have that capability to some extent. I had signed up for Bling Nation, in my town, allowing me to wave my phone over a reader and get charged through PayPal. In this case, it’s not the phone or NFC, but a sticker that’s on my phone. However, my sticking point (no pun intended) is that I don’t want a sticker on my phone, so I don’t use it. I might change my mind seeing that there’s a loyalty program.

However, I can have my coffee and pastry, while checking Facebook and my email. Without carrying anything.
